Techno Legend- Kirk Degiorgio is an established, major force both as a DJ and Producer. Rated worldwide as one of the most sought after Artist”s on the planet, he”s got the Techno World in the palm of his hand! Settin” the standard for 2011 and beyond, steering away from musical cliches and sticking to his soulful, underground roots. Kirk has managed to maintain his musical integrity spanning over 18 years and 5 albums, recording under the monikers: As One, Elegy, Esoterik, Critical Phase, Family Values, Super-A-Loof (with Jamie Odell), and The Off World Ensemble. In 1992 Degiorgio recorded his first release on B12 Records. Soultek is one of the most noted producers operating in the dub-infused Echcospace Group, an aftermath of the Basic Channel axis and all its myriad offshoots. His series of 12″s on his own eponymous imprint were released at the tail-end of the ”90s and the beginning of the new century, and are considered by many as the natural progression from the effervescent, super-dense techno of Berlin”s Chain Reaction. Following an extended hiatus, Soultek has re-wired his studio again and is once again receiving great acclaim for his Deep Bass, low-end techno variations. He is a longtime DeepChord cohort and his passion for the true underground sound is undying. Prominent Chicago Dubstep producers Luke Coleman (Nameloc) and Nick Elliott (AutoAxon) met in 2004 through fellow producer and Live PA artist Dave Spacek (Decimal). Throughout the mid 2000s, both artists followed their own successful musical paths until 2010, when they joined forces as Hivemind to push their sound beyond boundaries and labels, and to redefine how electronic music can be performed live. In addition to producing Dubstep, they are also pioneering the Chicago Moombahton sound, which is Latin-infused Reggaeton enhanced with harder basslines, frequent rhythm changes, diverse percussion and more dramatic builds and drops. Their live performance is Nameloc DJing original tracks, remixes and other selections while AutoAxon uses Ableton Live, Reaktor, a vocoder, and several MIDI controllers to create layers of drums, synths, and otherworldly sounds.
